Downey Brand's Dreher joins Eastern District bankruptcy bench

Longtime Sacramento bankruptcy attorney Jamie P. Dreher begins a 14-year term as bankruptcy filings in the Eastern District continue to rise.

Jamie P. Dreher, a longtime Downey Brand LLP bankruptcy attorney who led the firm's Sacramento bankruptcy and commercial law group, was sworn in Thursday as a U.S. bankruptcy judge for the Eastern District of California.

Dreher begins a 14-year term in Sacramento after his appointment by judges of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Chief Bankruptcy Judge Christopher D. Jaime administered the oath.
