Two social media addiction bellwether plaintiffs in Los Angeles will face Meta, YouTube and Snapchat in a joint trial next month after a judge found their cases sufficiently similar to be tried before the same jury.
in an order Friday, Superior Court Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl granted consolidation of the cases brought by S.J. and K.D.B., finding a joint trial can be managed without confusing jurors or unfairly prejudicing the companies. Trial is set for Oct. 28.
