Proper organization is key to clear and successful legal writing. If you've been to law school, you are undoubtedly familiar with IRAC and if you never fully understood the concept of IRAC you will after this article. I use IRAC on a daily basis when I am drafting pleadings during the course of my civil litigation matters. For those of you who do not already know, IRAC is an acronym for the following terms: Issue, Rule, Application and Conclusion.
