Amazon can’t force delivery drivers into arbitration
The lawsuit was brought by Amazon Flex drivers who said that the company was secretly monitoring their posts to private Facebook groups where they discussed their employment issues, including working conditions, strikes and pay.
Amazon cannot force into arbitration delivery drivers suing the company for allegedly monitoring their online communications about unionizing efforts, a federal judge ruled.
U.S. District Judge William Q. Hayes in San Diego found that the contract is unenforceable because the allegations fall outside the scope of the retail giant's arbitration agreement.
