Passengers aboard the ill-fated Grand Princess weren't in the zone of danger because they did not manifest physical symptoms of their fear of contracting COVID-19, a U.S. judge ruled Tuesday.
Nor did plaintiffs Eva and Ronald Weissberger show they were at immediate risk of physical harm enough to recover damages from alleged negligent infliction of emotional distress, U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner found.
