FISA evidence irrelevant to LA criminal prosecution, US says

Without saying outright whether or not a southern Lebanese man facing criminal charges has been monitored under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, prosecutors contend they won’t use any evidence reportedly obtained in his FISA warrant to prosecute him, thus eliminating any need to disclose such materials to his defense.

Federal prosecutors are fighting back against a Lebanese Muslim man's attempt to suppress evidence he believes investigators obtained through years of surveillance, maintaining they do not intend to use any of the information against him in a pending criminal case.
