Bay Area judge publicly admonished for hitting attorney
The superior court judge hit a female deputy public defender’s hand when she placed it on the bench, “inadvertently us[ing] enough force to leave a visible impression,” according to a Commission on Judicial Performance decision.




Alameda County Superior Court Judge Morris D. Jacobson was admonished Thursday for hitting an attorney and using inappropriate language.
The Commission on Judicial Performance publicly disciplined Jacobson for two instances of misconduct, one of which it described as "particularly serious."
