Appointed in June 2018 by Gov. Jerry Brown. DeSantos served on the Kings County Superior Court since 2003. Prior to becoming a judge, DeSantos had a two-decade career in private practice. He handled criminal defense, civil and family law work. DeSantos was a sole practitioner from 1984 to 1989 and again from 1993 to 2003. He started out as an associate at Kahn, Soares & Conway LLP from 1981 to 1983 and was a partner with Farley, DeSantos et al. from 1989 to 2003.
