  SANTA ROSA - During the Vietnam War, Robert S. Boyd was in charge of a Navy underwater
  mine disposal team on the Mekong Delta.  

  Now, as a judge in the family law department of Sonoma County Superior Court, he defuses
  a different kind of explosive situation.
