SAN FRANCISCO - Donald J. Sullivan is no stranger to some of the grittier bench assignments in San Francisco County Superior Court.
Following his appointment by Gov. Gray Davis in 2003, Sullivan spent more than a year hearing misdemeanor cases and another four handling family disputes. In 2012 and 2013, he also picked up some civil harassment, restraining order and elder abuse cases.
