CARLSBAD - With his trademark cowboy hat and cane, U.S. Circuit Judge Harry Pregerson was an easy candidate for the most recognizable figure at the 9th Circuit conference this month.
Quick-witted and busy at 88 years old, Pregerson was happy to oblige the many colleagues, acquaintances and strangers who stopped to chat.
