RIVERSIDE - Superior Court Judge Jason M. Armand remembers the first time he saw the law through his father's eyes.
"I idolized my father," said the judge, who was born and raised in Inglewood. "I remember hanging out with him, and he goes to this office, dimly lit. We sit in these big, plush, leather chairs. We were there 15 minutes. Afterwards my dad pulled out his big checkbook, wrote the check for $500 and handed it to the guy.
