Dr. Joanna Clifton on why you should donate to the Child Development Center

Every day, the Child Development Center serves children and families in our community who are doing their very best to get by--but for many, life is a daily struggle. Without the support of the CDC, some of these children would go without enough food, lack basic necessities, and miss out on the simple joys that every child deserves. What should be a time of learning, growth, and happiness is too often overshadowed by uncertainty at home.

These families are hardworking, but many are living day to day, facing difficult choices between essentials like keeping the utilities working, food, laundry, and transportation. CDC wants to not only provide an early educational experience, but also to provide resources to ease those daily burdens for many of our families.

CDC provides education, nourishment, stability, and a safe, nurturing environment where children can simply be children. Additionally, we would like to be able to assist with other resources, such as shoes, clothes, shelf-stable foods, laundry detergent, and other basic necessities that many take for granted.

We cannot do this alone. We ask you to please find it in your heart--and in your wallet--to give what you can. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward providing food, basic supplies, and critical support for our children and their families. Your generosity helps ensure that these young lives are filled not just with need, but with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
