Judge awards $3.5M in fees, praises rookie lawyer in $103M age bias case

A Los Angeles judge slashed a $9.65 million attorney-fee request following a record-setting age discrimination verdict against Liberty Mutual, but praised the trial performance of a lawyer admitted to the bar less than a year before trial.
