San Diego jury hits Apple with record $5.72B patent verdict

A San Diego jury awarded technology startup Taction Technology Inc. $5.72 billion after finding Apple Inc. infringed two patents covering vibration technology used in iPhones and Apple Watches, a record-setting victory for Taction, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and litigation funder Burford Capital Ltd.
