Gan reappointed to 9th Circuit bankruptcy appeals panel
Arizona Bankruptcy Judge Scott H. Gan will serve another three years on the panel, which handled nearly half of the 9th Circuit's bankruptcy appeals last fiscal year.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Scott H. Gan of the District of Arizona has been reappointed to a three-year term on the 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, which decides nearly half of the circuit's bankruptcy appeals.
The reappointment, effective Oct. 1, comes as the panel's workload is growing. Bankruptcy appeals filed in the 9th Circuit rose 9% in fiscal 2025, while the BAP disposed of 27% more appeals than the previous year.
