Los Angeles accuses fire truck makers of price fixing
The city alleges the nation's largest fire apparatus manufacturers rigged bids, restricted competition and drove up prices while delaying delivery of equipment needed by fire departments.
The City of Los Angeles has sued the nation's three largest fire truck manufacturers, alleging they rigged bids, fixed prices and delayed deliveries, driving up the cost of equipment fire departments depend on in emergencies.
The Sept. 4 Los Angeles County Superior Court complaint names REV Group LLC and parent Terex Corp.; Oshkosh Corp.-owned Pierce Manufacturing Inc.; Rosenbauer America LLC; their trade association; and four California dealers.
