Former Loop Industries director convicted of securities fraud, witness tampering
A federal jury convicted Donald Danks of using inside information to solicit more than $100 million in investments while concealing stock sales that netted him more than $4 million, then trying to derail the federal investigation.
A federal jury convicted former Loop Industries Inc. director Donald Danks of securities fraud conspiracy, witness tampering, obstruction of justice and perjury after a two-week retrial following an earlier mistrial.
Danks, 69, of Irvine, faces up to 20 years in prison on the most serious count when he is sentenced Dec. 4 by U.S. District Judge Cynthia A. Bashant.
