DOJ says Berkeley Law discriminated by race in admissions

Federal investigators say Berkeley Law used race, essays and other measures to circumvent the Supreme Court's ban on race-conscious admissions. The school denies considering race and says its admissions process complies with state and federal law.

Federal investigators have concluded that UC Berkeley School of Law discriminated against white and Asian applicants by considering race in admissions, an accusation the school strongly denies.
