Judge temporarily seals disputed attorney-client records in sheriff oversight fight

A Los Angeles County judge temporarily sealed filings in the Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission's subpoena lawsuit while the court determines who holds the attorney-client privilege and whether County Counsel has a conflict.

A Los Angeles County judge on Wednesday temporarily sealed disputed attorney-client communications in a contentious sheriff oversight lawsuit, saying he wanted to preserve the status quo until he determines who holds the privilege and whether it was validly waived.
