Judge voids Hollywood Park development agreement in Inglewood dispute
Hollywood Park used a voter-sponsored initiative to amend a 2009 agreement and allow construction of SoFi Stadium, but the city later argued the agreement was void because development agreements must be approved through the statutory process, not by initiative.
A Los Angeles County judge ruled that Inglewood's 2015 development agreement for the Hollywood Park project anchored by SoFi Stadium is void, handing the city a victory in a dispute over vested development rights and more than $400 million in claimed infrastructure reimbursements.
