A Santa Clara County jury awarded Japanese technology company FICT Limited $50 million Monday in a contract dispute with semiconductor company Ampere Computing LLC.

The award was the maximum available under the parties' contractual limitation of liability for breach of contract as well as breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. FICT Limited v. Ampere Computing LLC, 23CV423653 (Santa Clara Super. Ct., filed Oct. 5, 2023).
