Fresno prosecutor recovering after stabbing near courthouse

Suspect Dustin Crawford was booked on suspicion of attempted murder of a public official; Tulare County prosecutors will handle the case because of a conflict.

A Fresno County senior deputy district attorney is recovering at home after being stabbed outside the county courthouse Thursday.

The stabbing occurred around 1 p.m. in Courthouse Park, outside the Fresno County Courthouse in downtown Fresno. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office announced later that day that deputies had used a Taser to subdue and arrest a suspect.
