Cara Masako Porter has joined the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals appointed Porter to a 14-year term that began Aug. 13. Chief Bankruptcy Judge Stephen L. Johnson administered the oath, and Porter will keep chambers in Oakland.
