Cody confirmed to lead 2nd District's Division 6, 3 other judges elevated to Court of Appeal

Justice Tari Cody is the first woman to lead the Ventura-based court. 5th District Justice Sunny S. Sandhu is the first Sikh justice in California. And Justice Nicholas F. Daum dreamed of being a part of the legal profession from an early age, his mother testified.

Justice Tari Cody was unanimously confirmed Thursday as presiding justice of the 2nd District Court of Appeal Division 6, becoming the first woman to lead the Ventura-based appellate court during a Commission on Judicial Appointments hearing that also advanced three other Gov. Gavin Newsom nominees.
