Apple seeks injunction in trade secrets suit against OpenAI

The iPhone maker asked a federal judge to bar OpenAI from using or soliciting its confidential information, arguing the AI company misappropriated trade secrets to accelerate its hardware ambitions.

Apple moved for a preliminary injunction Monday in its trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI, which it says stole proprietary information in an attempt to ramp up its hardware development efforts.

The iPhone maker, represented by Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, asked U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila to bar OpenAI from acquiring or soliciting proprietary information as well as using the information it's allegedly already obtained.
