A lawsuit alleges contractor Alarcon Bohm overbilled millions, abandoned work on the Castro Theatre renovation and falsely promoted the project as an endorsement of its services.

The owners and operators of San Francisco's Castro Theatre sued the contractor that oversaw the landmark venue's $41 million renovation Monday, alleging it overbilled by millions of dollars, performed defective work, failed to pay subcontractors and then falsely used the theater's name to promote its business.

Another Planet Entertainment LLC, Gass Entertainment LLC, APESF LLC and BGCA Management LLC filed the complaint in San Francisco Superior Court against Alarcon Bo...
