Monitor finds ICE failing to meet court-ordered care standards at facility
The findings, filed in the Northern District of California, stem from a class action alleging unconstitutional conditions at the facility and are likely to intensify scrutiny of ICE's operation of California's largest immigration detention center.
A family physician proposed by plaintiffs and appointed over the federal government's objections concluded that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is not complying with an order requiring constitutionally adequate medical care at the California City detention center.
