Stadium wins dismissal in Drakeo the Ruler wrongful-death litigation

A Los Angeles County judge ruled LAFC Stadium Co. owed no duty in the fatal stabbing of rapper Drakeo the Ruler at a 2021 music festival, finding the attack occurred outside property the venue operator owned or controlled.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has dismissed multiple wrongful-death and premises-liability claims against LAFC Stadium Co. LLC., ruling the venue operator had no legal duty in the 2021 fatal stabbing of rapper Drakeo the Ruler because the attack occurred outside property it owned or controlled.
