Lawsuit blames fireworks companies, government agencies for deadly explosion

Nearly 30 plaintiffs have sued fireworks manufacturers and California state and local agencies over the 2025 Esparto warehouse explosion that killed seven people, alleging negligence, fraud and labor law violations while claiming regulators allowed dangerous operations to continue unchecked.
