Visa loses bid to sanction plaintiffs' lawyers in Pornhub trafficking suits
U.S. District Judge Wesley L. Hsu found that the payment processor failed to show their allegations violated Rule 11. The ruling follows an earlier decision allowing key trafficking and unfair competition claims against Visa to proceed.
A federal judge has refused to sanction attorneys representing alleged child sex trafficking victims suing Visa and Pornhub's former parent company, finding Visa failed to show that challenged allegations against the payment processor violated Rule 11.
