Quinn Emanuel joins OpenAI defense in Apple trade secrets suit

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP has entered an appearance for OpenAI in Apple's trade secret misappropriation lawsuit, adding veteran intellectual property litigators to defend claims that the AI company improperly targeted Apple employees as it built its hardware business.

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP will represent OpenAI as it defends Apple's claims of trade secret misappropriation, court documents show.

Four Quinn Emanuel attorneys -- partners Andrew H. Schapiro, Jodie W. Cheng, Patrick D. Curran and Yehuda Goor -- filed either notices of appearance or pro hac vice applications Thursday, according to the court's website. Neither Quinn Emanuel nor Open responded to requests to confirm.
