Judge narrows expert testimony ahead of second social media bellwether trial
A Los Angeles judge barred part of Snap's late expert analysis but allowed newly produced user-account data, narrowing expert testimony weeks before the second social media addiction bellwether trial.
A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday barred Snap Inc. from relying on portions of a late expert report before the second social media addiction bellwether trial, finding the supplemental analysis exceeded newly produced user-account data and was disclosed too late for the plaintiff to fairly respond.
However, Superior Court Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl declined to exclude the underlying user-account data itself from trial, instead limiting Snap's and Meta's experts to opinions directly...
