Roberts sends misconduct probe of 9th Circuit judge to 4th Circuit
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. transferred a misconduct complaint involving 9th U.S. Circuit Judge Ryan D. Nelson to the 4th Circuit after the 9th Circuit's chief judge requested an outside review of criminal battery and property damage charges pending against the judge.
A misconduct probe of 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Ryan D. Nelson concerning misdemeanor battery and property damage charges against him was transferred to another circuit by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., the court announced Wednesday.
The transfer to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was ordered following a request by 9th Circuit Chief Judge Mary H. Murguia under Rule 26 of the Rules for Judicial-Conduct and Judicial-Disability Proceedings. ...
