Former Alignment Healthcare executive alleges retaliation over accounting concerns

Former chief transformation officer Hakan Kardes claims he was forced out after raising concerns that millions in operating expenses were improperly classified, inflating the company's reported profitability. Alignment says an independent audit committee review found the allegations unfounded.

A former senior executive at Alignment Healthcare Inc. has sued the publicly traded Medicare Advantage company and four of its top executives, alleging they retaliated against him after he reported what he believed were accounting irregularities that artificially inflated the company's reported profitability and executive bonuses.
