Sable asks Trump administration to seize California land for pipeline

Sable Offshore Corp. has asked the Trump administration to use eminent domain to acquire state-owned shoreline, parkland and private property needed for its Santa Barbara County pipeline, opening a new front in the company's legal battle with California over restarting the system that ruptured in 2015.

The Trump administration has been asked to use eminent domain to acquire miles of California coastline and private property to facilitate Sable Offshore Corp.'s effort to resume operations on the Santa Ynez Unit pipeline system.
