Gonzalez Rogers is named chief judge of Northern District

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers took over as the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday, replacing Judge Richard G. Seeborg, who held the role for five years.
In a statement to the Daily Journal, Gonzalez Rogers thanked Seeborg, who will remain a district judge, for his service to the court.
