Appeals court upholds dismissal of state charges against Pelosi attacker

The 1st District Court of Appeal ruled that three state charges against David Wayne DePape were barred by the state's double jeopardy statute because they arose from the same conduct underlying his federal convictions for the 2022 hammer attack on Paul Pelosi.
