Judge dismisses Visa investor suit over DOJ antitrust probe
U.S. District Judge Noël Wise threw out a securities class action against Visa, finding investors failed to plausibly allege that the company's stock decline following the Justice Department's antitrust lawsuit was caused by any corrective disclosure rather than the lawsuit itself.
U.S. District Judge Noël Wise dismissed a securities class action against Visa with prejudice, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to show their losses, resulting from a 2024 stock dip, were caused by the company's alleged misstatements.
