A Los Angeles judge on Thursday denied District Attorney Nathan Hochman's renewed bid to intervene in the county's $4 billion juvenile sexual abuse settlement and halt distributions, finding prosecutors failed to justify entering the civil litigation or freezing payments while investigating alleged widespread fraud.
