Ford sues Quill & Arrow over alleged lemon law billing fraud
Ford Motor Co. alleges the Los Angeles lemon law firm used nonlawyers and overseas virtual assistants to perform work later billed as California attorney time, seeking at least $25 million in damages after a similar RICO case against Knight Law Group attorneys was dismissed.
Ford Motor Co. on Thursday sued Los Angeles lemon-law firm Quill & Arrow LLP, alleging the firm orchestrated a large-scale billing-fraud scheme that improperly extracted more than $25 million in attorney-fee payments and generated tens of millions of dollars in inflated legal bills.
