20 cases, one message: Arbitration law is in flux
California appellate courts issued 20 arbitration decisions in the first five months of this year, tackling high-stakes questions on jurisdiction, delegation clauses, issue preclusion and the transportation worker exemption.

Appellate courts with jurisdiction over California regularly issue cases involving alternate dispute resolution. In the first five months of this year, there were 20 decisions, all involving arbitration. There were 13 decisions written by the Court of Appeal. four by the 9th Circuit, one by the California Supreme Court and two by the United States Supreme Court.
