Defense lawyer wants Quinn Emanuel to disclose who's paying the bills
Attorney representing defendants in a fraud suit involving Chinese investors asks a federal judge to order Quinn Emanuel to disclose its funding sources, suggesting without evidence that the Chinese government may be financing the litigation.
A New Mexico attorney defending two Chinese-born U.S. citizens in a fraud suit urged a federal magistrate judge Thursday to require Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP to disclose who is funding the plaintiffs' case, arguing the money may be coming from the Chinese government.
