J&J talc bellwether heads to jury after clash over cancer evidence

Jurors began deliberating in the second Los Angeles talc bellwether trial after plaintiffs accused Johnson & Johnson of concealing asbestos contamination for decades and defense lawyers challenged the scientific basis for linking talc to ovarian cancer.

Jurors began deliberating Thursday in the second Los Angeles bellwether trial against Johnson & Johnson after plaintiffs' attorneys accused the company of concealing asbestos contamination in its talc products for decades.

Wrapping up the plaintiffs' rebuttal to defense closing arguments on Thursday, Daniel S. Robinson of Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. in Newport Beach urged the jury to send a message to J&J's corporate leadership by finding them liable.
