Arbitrator awards $1.34B in OC real estate fraud case

A JAMS arbitrator found Mahender Makhijani and affiliated entities liable for fraud after a commercial real estate joint venture left a Laguna Beach businessman without the equity contribution he was promised.

A JAMS arbitrator has awarded $1.34 billion to Laguna Beach businessman Mohammad Honarkar and his company in a fraud dispute arising from a commercial real estate joint venture.
