Court weighs Uber's sanctions request in sexual assault bellwether case
A federal magistrate judge questioned a bellwether plaintiff's discovery conduct in Uber's sexual assault MDL, as the company sought sanctions, alleging repeated omissions, redactions and potentially AI-generated citations.
Uber's attorneys asked U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros to sanction an upcoming bellwether plaintiff, represented by Wagstaffe Law Firm, for what the defendant described as bad faith conduct during discovery in the multidistrict litigation over claims of driver sexual assault.
