Meta may face trial in Oakland this summer over claims by more than two dozen states that their platforms fuel adolescent social media addiction. Also on the horizon are lawsuits by hundreds of school districts against Meta and three co-defendants, after a settlement last week with the first school district bellwether plaintiff.

Jury selection is set for Aug. 12 in the next case in the multidistrict litigation -- the lawsuits by the states against Meta.
