A Los Angeles judge on Wednesday declined to immediately rule on fire victims' emergency discovery application in the coordinated Palisades Fire litigation, saying the parties bypassed informal procedures she requires before bringing discovery motions and that such disputes generally should not be decided on an ex parte basis.
