Taylor Swift ticket lawsuit likely to proceed on 5th amended complaint

A federal judge in Los Angeles indicated Taylor Swift fans' Ticketmaster contract claims may proceed, while signaling dismissal of "boost" allegations and allowing discovery to begin.

Taylor Swift fans will likely be able to proceed with claims that Ticketmaster breached its contract by allowing bots and unverified users to disrupt the pop star's "Eras Tour" presale, a Los Angeles federal judge signaled, with some frustration, on Thursday.

U.S. District Judge George H. Wu also indicated he will probably dismiss the plaintiffs' separate theory regarding promised "boosts" for loyal fans.
