A former chair of the Ben & Jerry's board who clashed with parent company Unilever over her political activism claims in a defamation lawsuit that the company used Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP to conduct a sham investigation into her finances as a pretext to remove her.
The company adopted new term limits, and two other board members were also removed, the complaint said.
